The JAPAN PHOTO AWARD photograph competition is an award which was established with the aim of discovering excellent young photographers in Japan and introducing them to the world. Since it started as the EINSTEIN PHOTO COMPETITION, it has grown into the award, which had the highest number of participants among pay to enter photography competitions in Japan, over 3000 young aspiring photographers have participated.
The jurors are gallerists, editors, curators and artists who are active worldwide. We invite jurors from in and outside of Japan to provide an opportunity for young artists to test their talents.
Some of the photographers, who participated in the 2nd competition, have further extended their activities, such as joining galleries, having exhibitions abroad and collaborating with world class fashion brands.
This year, we will hold the JAPAN PHOTO AWARD 2015 and have invited jurors who are active worldwide .
This time, the awarded photographs will be in a collection and be distributed at art museums and bookstores in Japan, and at art book fairs where EINSTEIN STUDIO participates as well as distributed for no charge at the largest photo fair in the world, the PARIS PHOTO in cooperation with IMA Magazine.
The JAPAN PHOTO AWARD supports artists who courageously face the challenges of the world.
